Your Role
We are seeking an experienced Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) and lead the delivery of complex, high-impact projects. This role emphasizes Financial Management and Schedule Management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in project delivery, ideally complemented by domain expertise in the Public Sector or Financial Services, along with outstanding leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Financial Management
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Monitor actuals vs. forecasts, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare financial reports and insights for senior leadership.
- Schedule Management
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules or master production schedules (MPS).
- Track progress, identify delays or bottlenecks, and recommend recovery plans.
- Align schedules across multiple workstreams and dependencies.
- Governance & Reporting
- Prepare and present status reports and dashboards using Jira, PowerBI, and MS Excel (including advanced functions/macros).
- Develop executive briefings and presentations for senior leadership.
- Risk & Issue Management
- Identify and manage delivery risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement mitigation strategies and escalate critical items promptly.
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Work effectively across cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the PMO.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Strong financial management skills (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on project management experience in complex environments.
- Minimum 3 years in Public Sector or Financial Services (preferred).
- Proficiency in Jira, PowerBI, MS Project, and MS Office (Excel with macros preferred).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Project Management Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile (Scrum Master).
- Experience with portfolio management tools and financial governance frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and drive outcomes in complex stakeholder environments.
