YOUR ROLE
As a Data Management & Strategy Consultant, you will be a strategic partner to our clients, helping them design and embed strong data management and governance capabilities. You will combine advisory, operating model design and pragmatic implementation support, enabling organizations to manage data as an asset and accelerate analytics/AI adoption safely and sustainably.
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Define and implement data strategy and a pragmatic execution roadmap aligned with business priorities and data/AI ambitions.
- Design data governance operating models (decision rights, roles such as data owners/stewards, governance bodies, processes and KPIs), aligned with DAMA-DMBOK principles.
- Establish governance frameworks for metadata, lineage, data quality, data cataloging and master/reference data where relevant.
- Support clients in defining workflows for data quality management (rules, metrics, monitoring, remediation) and adoption practices.
- Drive compliance and risk management initiatives aligned with GDPR and the EU AI Act (risk classification, documentation, accountability, AI literacy touchpoints).
- Advise on governance approaches such as data mesh / domain-oriented data products and their organizational implications.
- Support pre-sales activities: proposals, client workshops, maturity assessments, and delivery approach definition.
YOUR PROFILE
- Minimum of 3+ years experience in data governance, data management, or data strategy roles (consulting preferred).
- Experience designing roles/responsibilities and collaboration models across Business and IT (ownership, stewardship, data councils).
- Strong understanding of governance foundations: data quality, metadata, lineage, cataloging, privacy/security-by-design.
- Awareness of regulatory frameworks and practical implementation considerations for GDPR and EU AI Act.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to translate complex concepts to executive and non-technical stakeholders.
- Structured problem-solving; proactive mindset; comfort working in ambiguous environments.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
- Nice-to-have: Certifications (CDMP, privacy); experience with governance tools (catalog/lineage) and operating model transformations.
