Your role
We are looking for a Data Catalog specialist who will manage on a daily basis Business and Technical metadata on the Organization’s Data Catalog, focusing on projects such as Pricing and Revenue Management Automation. This role will drive the data catalog buildout of Collibra data catalog associated within different areas. This involves applying best practices to structuring, curating, and managing the Business Glossary and Data Catalog assets/domains. The role’s responsibilities include providing operational excellence for the Data Governance department, focusing on metadata management, data cataloging, and lineage management.
- Build-out enterprise data catalog for the business and technical metadata with lineage from the Databricks Migration.
- Ingest and scan the metadata into Collibra.
- Gather technical metadata for creating, organizing, and maintaining (curation) of data assets such as description of schemas, tables, columns, owners, etc.,
- Document business metadata to capture and define glossary terms for Data Engineering and Data Platform.
- Import Glossary and Data Dictionary, establish mappings and relationships into Collibra.
- Perform classification of data domains and data classification to categorize and locate the data.
- Develop data rules/expressions to automate data classification process.
- Extract and deploy to higher environments.
- Support change activities related to Collibra improvements.
Your profile
- Good conversational English (B2, C1, C2)
- Collibra experience: metadata management, data cataloging, and lineage management.
- Best practices knowledge to structuring, curating, and managing the Business Glossary and Data Catalog assets/domains.
- Strong self-management and ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Good collaboration skills with data stewards, engineers, and business users.
- Comfortable explaining metadata and catalog concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying Data Catalog gaps or enhancements.
