Job Description

We are looking for a hands on and experienced Senior React Front End Developer to build scalable performant and reusable frontend solutions for modern web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in React, JavaScript, TypeScript and contemporary UI engineering practices. Experience with Storybook for component development and Angular as a secondary framework is a plus. This role also includes mentoring junior developers contributing to solution design and ensuring adherence to frontend best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Front End Development:
Develop and maintain reusable UI components using React TypeScript JavaScript ES6 HTML5 CSS3SCSS and JSON
Build modular and maintainable UI libraries and component systems
Write and maintain unit tests using tools like Jest React Testing Library or similar frameworks
Integrate RESTful APIs and manage asynchronous data flows Promises asyncawait Axios Fetch
Ensure responsive accessible WCAG and high performance frontend implementations
Use Storybook to build document and test UI components in isolation
Upgrade and manage JavaScript and npm dependencies ensuring security and stability
Ensure cross browser compatibility and optimized rendering performance

Architecture Solution Design:
Collaborate with architects and backend developers to design scalable frontend architectures
Participate in technical solution design and make key decisions around component structure state management and performance optimization
Contribute to establishing and evolving coding standards tooling and frontend best practices

Leadership Mentorship:
Lead and mentor junior frontend engineers assisting them in improving skills and code quality
Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback
Promote a collaborative high quality engineering culture

Collaboration Delivery:
Work closely with UXUI designers QA teams and product stakeholders to deliver high quality digital experiences
Participate in Agile ceremonies sprint planning estimations standups retrospectives
Support troubleshooting debugging and performance tuning across environments


Required Qualifications:
7 years of frontend development experience with strong hands on expertise in
React TypeScript JavaScript ES6
HTML5 CSS3SCSS JSON
Experience in building component based architectures and reusable UI systems
Strong understanding of state management Redux Zustand Recoil or similar
Experience using Storybook for UI component development and documentation
Familiarity with CICD Git workflows and modern build tools Webpack Vite Babel
Strong understanding of responsive design accessibility WCAG and cross browser compatibility
Experience in mentoring conducting code reviews and providing technical leadership


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Angular as a secondary frontend framework
Knowledge of frontend performance optimization and modern rendering patterns
Exposure to analytics or personalization tools eg Adobe Analytics Google Analytics
Experience in insurance or other regulated industries.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: USD $110,000/Annum - $115,000/Annum

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
