Stress Engineer (Remote in México)

Your role
As part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, your skills in calculation and analysis will be called upon to support the aircraft programs in the capacity of static, fatigue, and damage tolerance stress specialist. You will review, make recommendations, and provide final stress justification of reworks and repairs on defects produced on the airframe primary structure. The rework acceptance will be based on equivalent strength capability and equivalent account stress levels. In your role, you will:
- Work closely with Design Engineers by providing timely stress substantiations
- Engage with Stress engineering team to resolve key technical issues.
- Document analysis of stress work files.
Your profile
- Good conversational English (B2, C1, C2)
- Bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Material Review Board (MRB) or MAP experience in commercial / business aircraft and / or previous MRB delegation is an asset.
- Experience in static, fatigue, damage tolerance analysis, and finite element analysis.
- Experience in design office (design or stress) of aircrafts structures (Airframe);
- Knowledge of stress calculations / justifications.
- Knowledge of aeronautical materials used.
- Work autonomously and be a good team player.
- Knowledge of the following tools: NASTRAN, PATRAN, FEMAP. CATIA V5, SOLIDWORKS. NASGRO and/or AFGRO. MS Office (EXCEL and VBA programming)
