Work from home - Software Engineer in Test

Your role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our online software products. You will be responsible for understanding online booking tools or travel software, designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for API and backend services using Java, Rest Assured, Karate Postman Swagger etc.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI using Java, Selenium, WebDriver etc.
• Write and execute robust automated test scripts for RESTful APIs, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
• Collaborate with development teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality standards.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Perform code reviews for test automation scripts and provide mentorship to junior QA engineers.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with best practices in test automation, including maintainability, scalability, and performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.

Required:

• 3+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Rest Assured, Karate for API automation.
• String proficiency in Selenium or WebDriver etc.
• Hands-on experience with TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Git.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON/XML.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, and API documentation tools.
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
