Choosing Capgemini means choosing a company where you will be empowered to shape your career in the way you’d like, where you’ll be supported and inspired by a collaborative community of colleagues around the world, and where you’ll be able to reimagine what’s possible. Join us and help the world’s leading organizations unlock the value of technology and build a more sustainable, more inclusive world.

Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Storage & Backup Specialist to take ownership of our enterprise storage, backup, and recovery environments across multiple datacenters. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our data platforms are highly available, resilient, and consistently meeting performance and recovery targets.

You’ll work hands‑on with technologies such as NetApp (7‑Mode and Cluster Mode), Dell PowerFlex, ScaleIO, NetApp StorageGRID, and Veritas backup and archiving platforms. Day‑to‑day, you’ll maintain and monitor storage systems, manage replication across sites, administer object‑storage platforms, and oversee storage virtualisation. This includes managing logical resource groups, protection domains, storage pools, and encryption at rest.

You’ll ensure the reliability of our backup and SaaS protection services by operating and optimising Veritas NetBackup and Veritas Alta for SharePoint and M365. You’ll support our archiving platforms like Veritas Enterprise Vault and AXS‑One, and contribute to secure data lifecycle management practices.

Performance and capacity management will be a key part of your work—you’ll regularly assess system health using tools like NetApp ActiveIQ and PowerFlex Management to ensure our environments meet defined performance benchmarks. You’ll also uphold governance and compliance standards by maintaining connectivity across Brocade fibre‑channel switching and coordinating offsite tape vaulting.

Beyond day‑to‑day operations, you’ll drive automation and continuous improvement by reducing manual effort in deployments and configuration updates. You’ll play an active role in executing platform changes and releases, performing root-cause analysis, and collaborating across teams to develop solutions or workarounds for major incidents. All work will follow ITIL‑aligned processes for Incident, Problem, and Change Management, and you’ll ensure documentation remains accurate and up to date.

Your Experience

  • Experience working within a Managed Services Provider or large enterprise environment.
  • Strong capability across primary and software‑defined storage, including NetApp ONTAP, Dell PowerFlex, and NetApp StorageGRID.
  • Skilled in managing Brocade Fibre Channel SAN fabrics, including zoning, firmware updates, and environment health checks.
  • Proficient with backup and tape technologies such as Veritas NetBackup, Veritas Alta SaaS Protection, and Oracle StorageTek tape libraries.
  • Knowledgeable in archiving and security platforms, particularly Veritas Enterprise Vault, AXS‑One, and CloudLink encryption.
  • Naturally curious, with a genuine desire to continue learning and sharing new industry developments with the team.
  • Able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and changing workloads.
  • Confident working independently and using sound judgment to make decisions.
