Your role
- Work in an IC role or lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring adherence to best practices in BI development and data visualization. Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and design impactful dashboards using Power BI. Use Python to automate data extraction and transformation.
- Oversee ETL processes and integrate data from various sources into Power BI. Enhance Power BI reports with Python scripts for advanced analytics and custom calculations. Ensure strong data governance, quality, and user-friendly visualization practices. Good documentation skills to deliver BRDs, architecture, specifications documents, project plan etc.
- Lead the creation of RFPs for BI tools and solutions, working with vendors to select the best technology. Manage POV exercises to demonstrate the value of BI solutions and secure stakeholder buy-in.
- Develop MVPs to quickly deliver core BI functionalities, allowing for iterative feedback and faster delivery. Strong experience in people management and client engagement, with a proven ability to lead teams and build lasting client relationships.
Your Profile
- 9+ years of experience in DWH/BI domain with a focus on Power BI development. Proficiency in at least two BI tools: Qlik, Power BI, Tableau. Showcase experience in 2-3 complete life cycle implementation of BI projects. Willingness and readiness to cross-skill in multiple BI tools and platforms.
- Experienced in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps development, Power Automate, and Dataverse. Advanced SQL skills for querying and manipulating data from relational databases. Basic Python skills for ETL automation, with experience in Pandas, NumPy, and pyodbc.
- Proven experience leading BI teams and managing priorities. Experience in preparing RFPs, leading POVs, and delivering MVPs for BI solutions. Experience working with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake). Knowledge of Alteryx, Informatica or other ETL tools.
- Knowledge in embedding BI visualizations and reports into web applications. Exposure to big data tools like Hadoop or Spark. Familiarity with AI-powered assistant tools (e.g., GenAI copilot).
