Your Role

The Global Lead Buyer (GLB) Corporate will manage a dedicated Software – Applications portfolio. You will be dedicated to deliver the best possible service to our business stakeholders GIT , core functions and global businesses. You will own global vendors selection and the overall global relationship for all vendors in her/his category and will manage direct corporate spend and provide impact on the business profitability while ensuring the best T&Cs, quality and delay. You will be responsible for meeting the objectives and KPI targets set by procurement in your responsibility category .

You will be reporting to the Procurement Global Applications Category Director.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build sourcing strategy for SW vendors of a 100M€+ Corporate portfolio such as Finance, HR, Legal, Sales tools (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, LinkedIn, etc…)
  • Manage full portfolio sourcing process, from supplier selection to contract negotiations, strategic account relationships, performance evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Closely cooperate with the stakeholders to clarify their needs, budget & timeline.
  • Evaluate make-vs-buy decision, conduct RFP and renewals taking benefit from end of quarter or fiscal year.
  • Drive global savings initiatives in close cooperation with C-level stakeholders (internal use, managed services and resell).
  • Ensure suppliers are correctly reflected in the procurement tool to drive contract adherence and savings.
  • Provide inputs, guidance and support to ITT procurement community, and Alliances for resell.
  • Regularly benchmarking with peers.
  • Monitor the market to identify startups, disruptors, innovations, relevant industry developments impacting the Capgemini Information System and contribute to the overall IT expertise with insights.
  • Improve and develop procurement specific processes and tools aligned with our global approach

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 12 to 15 years of experience in Corporate Software Procurement.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in IT procurement with strong skills in Software procurement and proven track record in sourcing global mega vendors.
  • Master’s degree in business/economics, Engineering or Finance.
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written in English.
  • Results oriented with proven negotiation skills driving significant savings and strong supplier partnerships.
  • Contract knowledge – e.g. implementing, reviewing, flow downs, contract changes, novations, terminations.
  • Track record of delivering savings, whilst also understanding the value of quality and service provision.
  • Category Planning – strategy setting.
  • Highly organized with ability to balance global vision with attention to local details.
  • Can adapt to fast changing schedules and priorities.
  • Very good communication and networking skills and is able to work effectively as either an individual or as part of a team in a matrix environment.
  • Good problem solving skills and can-do attitude.
  • Strong influencing skills to use both a facilitative and directive approach to “sell” method to internal clients and negotiate with suppliers.
