About the job you’re considering
As a CAD Senior Developer, you will be at the forefront of custom CAD development, working within a multi-CAD environment and integrating with PLM and PDM systems. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the digital engineering landscape across platforms like Teamcenter, NX, 3DX, Enovia, CATIA, and other custom integrations.

  • You will lead the development of custom CAD programs tailored to business needs, ensuring stability across all CAD environments including Development, Testing, Training, and Production.
  • You will contribute to key projects such as OrderBuilder and Framebuilding, and support tools like SAGE, Dispatcher Translations, and Supplier Exchange.
  • You will collaborate closely with CAD Product Owners and R&D engineers to triage and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • You will guide the CAD IT Product Team in executing enhancements using Agile methodologies, while upholding DevSecOps, source control, and IT security best practices.
  • You will support the harmonization of CAD tools across brands, contributing to the OnePDP ecosystem and Traton Modular Systems.
  • You will be involved in data migration and integration development to enable seamless product information flow across international teams.
  • You will help drive user adoption and training initiatives across global engineering teams.

Your role

Your skills and experience
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a strong foundation in CAD engineering and software development, along with a collaborative mindset and a passion for innovation.

  • You have over 5 years of experience in multi-CAD engineering environments, including hands-on work with NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and/or Creo.
  • You have 3–5 years of experience customizing CAD tools to automate model generation and design calculations.
  • You are proficient in C++, Python, and .NET Framework (C# required), with additional scripting experience in Visual Basic, DOS Batch, or PowerShell.
  • You are familiar with DevSecOps and Agile practices, including source control, CI/CD pipelines, and writing effective user stories.
  • You communicate effectively with engineers and IT teams, translating technical needs into actionable solutions.
  • You understand the strategic impact of your work and align your efforts with broader business goals.
  • You are a proactive leader and collaborator who speaks up, supports peers, and manages stakeholder expectations with confidence.

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The salary range for the tagged location is $76,000/yr - $156,000/year. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
