Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of secure architectures for Microsoft environments.
• Offer technical guidance and operational oversight to ensure compliance and resilience.
• Participate in planning sessions to define security standards, architecture frameworks, and innovation initiatives.
• Drive alignment of security strategies with organizational goals.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and provide actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate remediation efforts across teams to maintain a strong security posture.
• Reduce manual effort by automating deployments, configuration updates, and workflows using scripting tools (PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Python).
• Promote operational excellence through process optimization.
• Execute application and platform changes, releases, and service requests in supported environments.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement service improvement solutions.
• Adhere to ITIL guidelines for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to develop corrective actions or workarounds for major incidents.
• Ensure all work is documented according to required standards and procedures.
• Configure and optimize Microsoft 365 Defender and Microsoft Sentinel for secure, compliant environments.
• Conduct proactive risk assessments leveraging Defender insights and advanced analytics.
• Develop and enforce security standards and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and internal policies.
• Lead and mentor a cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Encourage knowledge sharing and professional development.

Your Profile

Your Capabilities and Experience:

You will need to be a passionate, motivated and client focused Cloud Support Consultant.

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Cybersecurity Reference Architectures (MCRA).
• Strong Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 security products, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Proven ability to implement information security practices in operational environments.
• Previous experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or large enterprise setting.
• Demonstrated experience with scripting tools such as PowerShell, Microsoft Graph (Graph API), and Python.
• Expertise with cloud security and threat detection tools.
• Existing certifications from Microsoft, AWS, or other recognized security vendors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Adaptability to changing environments and workloads.
• Passion for staying updated on latest cybersecurity innovations and sharing knowledge with the team.
• Tertiary qualification in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
