Role Overview

The SAP SCM Solution Architect serves as an SDT Architect supporting German-led transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for designing and implementing Selective Data Transition (SDT) architectures tailored to European client needs. Leveraging SDT methodologies and our proprietary SDT Concert tool, the architect enables scalable, efficient, and future-proof SAP S/4HANA landscapes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement SDT-based architectures for SAP S/4HANA transformations, ensuring alignment with client-specific requirements and European business contexts.
  • Utilize SDT Concert tool to streamline data migration and system transition processes.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to analyze customer requirements and architect customized SAP SCM solutions.
  • Develop and present detailed proposals that demonstrate strategic value and technical feasibility.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of SAP ERP, S/4HANA, and SDT transformation methodologies.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to provide expert guidance to clients and internal teams.
  • Engage clients in a consultative manner to uncover pain points and transformation opportunities.
  • Translate insights into innovative SAP solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Partner with engineering, product, marketing, and sales teams to ensure cohesive solution design and delivery.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical stakeholders across global teams.
  • Lead technical presentations, demos, and workshops to showcase solution capabilities.
  • Articulate the unique value proposition of SDT-enabled SAP landscapes.
  • Gather and document detailed technical and business requirements.
  • Create comprehensive solution documentation including architecture diagrams and implementation guides.
  • Capture and model architecture requirements.
  • Contribute to SAP/ERP architecture strategy and guidelines in alignment with Capgemini’s global architecture bodies.

Qualifications

  • 12–15+ years of SAP implementation and support experience, with a strong focus on SAP ERP, S/4HANA, and SDT.
  • Proven track record in enterprise application architecture across domains such as middleware, integration, databases, cloud, UI, and analytics.
  • Strong understanding of German and Asia business processes and IT landscapes.
  • Experience supporting European and Asia transformation projects from a Singapore-based hub.
  • Expertise in SAP ECC logistic processes and S/4HANA architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of SDT methodologies, SAP data migration, interface design, and system integration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in global, cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with operational service design capabilities.
  • Based in Singapore with willingness to travel occasionally to Germany.
  • Familiarity with regulated environments and Computer System Validation.
  • Additional language skills are an advantage.
