Capgemini is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer with a strong background in the design, development, and testing of cybersecurity features and controls, specifically within the regulated MedTech industry. A key focus of this role is the security testing of physical hardware, including embedded systems and connected medical devices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in Linux environments, using Linux-based tools and scripting to perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and hardware interface analysis. This role demands strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay current with emerging threats and technologies. Candidates with recognized Cyber Security certifications and experience in hardware-level security testing are strongly preferred.

Your role

  • Working with R&D engineers, architects, and other staff to ensure security is integrated into product development and operations.
  • Interpret and apply relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations.
  • Work on threat modeling and security risk assessments for SW, identifying and evaluating potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, Security Risk Assessment (SRA), penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Perform Threat modeling and assessment for design change.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and maintain risk management documentation.
  • Present cybersecurity findings, reports, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Establish best practices and processes for Cyber security measures.

Your skills and experience

  • 7+ years of proven experience and strong background in the design, development, and testing of cybersecurity features and controls in a regulated industry.
  • Must have strong experience working in Linux-based software environments.
  • Extensive familiarity with at least one RPM-based Linux distribution (Rocky Linux preferred) with command-line rpm and yum/dnf usage.
  • Must have a strong awareness of cybersecurity trends, hacking techniques, and security protocols.
  • Hands-on experience in vulnerability assessments, Security Risk Assessment (SRA), penetration testing.
  • Strong experience in Vulnerability assessment using tools like Mend, Trivy.
  • Prior experience with cyber security in medical devices domain.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR) and their intersection with medical device cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Master’s / bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Dockers.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Github).
  • Experience with IoT platforms (Cumulocity), cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).
  • Experience with UL 2900-2-1 and IEEE 2621 standards.
  • Medical devices domain.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $95,000 - $139,000. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
