YOUR ROLE
As an Electronics Engineer specializing in alternative component testing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity and reliability of telecommunications equipment. You will work closely with hardware teams to identify, test, and qualify replacement components for obsolete parts in telecommunications products.
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Collaborating with hardware engineering teams to identify suitable alternative electronic components for obsolete parts in telecommunications products, particularly in Copper DSL and Fiber technologies
- Conducting comprehensive electronic characterization tests using specialized test equipment to verify the compatibility and performance of replacement components such as memories, line drivers, and other critical electronic parts
- Performing qualification testing according to industry standards to ensure new electronic components meet all technical requirements and specifications
- Documenting test methodologies, results, and preparing detailed qualification reports to support component replacement decisions
- Supporting the maintenance of telecommunications equipment with a focus on electronic component obsolescence management and implementing sustainable solutions for long-term product support
YOUR PROFILE
- You have Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- You possess 4-5 years of experience in board validation and proficiency with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers
- You have a strong hardware engineering background with demonstrated experience in component validation and qualification processes
- You bring specific experience with telecommunications electronic components, particularly in DSL and Fiber technologies, and understand their critical parameters and performance requirements
- You have practical knowledge of memory components (DRAM) and line drivers qualification, including understanding of timing parameters, power requirements, and signal integrity issues
