Job Description
Asset Lifecycle Management
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets (hardware and software), including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement
Maintain and regularly update the IT Asset Management Database (ITAMDB) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, and IT Operations to ensure timely acquisition and disposal of assets.
Asset Tracking & Inventory
Conduct regular physical audits and reconciliations of IT assets across offices and data centers.
Implement asset tagging, labeling, and barcode tracking for inventory control.
Ensure all deployed assets are recorded accurately with ownership, location, and usage details.
Software & License Compliance
Track software licenses, entitlements, and usage to ensure compliance with vendor agreements.
Monitor software deployment to avoid under-licensing or over-procurement.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate software and asset documentation.
Policy & Process Implementation
Assist in developing and maintaining ITAM policies, procedures, and standards aligned with ITIL and ISO/IEC 19770 frameworks.
Promote IT asset governance practices across departments and support compliance with data protection and cybersecurity policies.
Reporting & Analysis
Generate regular reports on asset status, utilization, depreciation, and contract renewals.
Identify opportunities for cost savings through asset reallocation, standardization, and vendor negotiations.
Provide input for budgeting and forecasting based on asset trends and lifecycle analysis.
Vendor & Contract Management
Maintain an inventory of IT-related contracts, warranties, and service agreements.
Track key dates such as license renewals, support expiration, and lease terms.
Liaise with vendors on procurement, RMA processes, and service performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT asset management, IT operations, or IT procurement.
Experience working in a mid-to-large enterprise or multinational organization is preferred.
Flexible with a 12-month contract arrangement
Proficiency in IT asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Lansweeper, JAMF, or equivalent).
Familiarity with software licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, etc.) and ITSM practices.
Advanced Excel and reporting skills; knowledge of database querying is a plus.
Certifications (Preferred but not required)
Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)
ITIL Foundation Certification
ISO/IEC 19770 knowledge
