Financial Crime Compliance Consultant
Capgemini
Job Description
Help financial institutions become stronger, more agile, and resilient in a time of unprecedented change.
At Capgemini Financial Services Netherlands, we tackle today’s most pressing challenges in the financial sector. We support banks, insurers, pension administrators and regulators in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, transforming operations, and innovating for the future. As our Managing Consultant (FCC SME), you are the subject-matter leader who shapes end‑to‑end Financial Crime Compliance strategy—linking regulation, operating model, data, technology and change into measurable outcomes.
- Location: The Netherlands, Amsterdam/Utrecht
- Hours: 32 / 36 / 40 per week
- Level: Medior / Senior professional
Your Role in One Paragraph
You bring clarity and direction to complex FCC transformations. Clients trust you to translate evolving AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud and ESG integrity expectations into pragmatic change. You define FCC target operating models (governance, policies, processes, people, data & technology), build consensus across senior stakeholders, and guide execution from roadmap to sustained run. Your calm authority, regulatory fluency and delivery track record make you the go‑to advisor for board, compliance and operations leaders alike.
What You Will Do
- Shape FCC strategy and Target Operating Models (governance, first/second line roles, process design, data lineage, technology enablement).
- Lead multi‑disciplinary programs across KYC/CDD, Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions, Screening, SIRA, Quality & QA. Orchestrate change across Fraud Ops, Compliance, Data and IT.
- Run gap analyses, maturity scans and risk assessments; translate findings into actionable, sequenced roadmaps.
- Align innovation with AI/Data/RegTech and ensure model risk management and audit‑readiness.
- Advise executives, nurture client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
- Coach and develop consultants; foster a culture of excellence and integrity.
Our Projects: Complex, High-Impact, and Diverse
From multi‑year remediation and sanctions uplifts to cross‑border TOM redesigns and regulator‑driven remediation, we deliver pragmatic FCC outcomes: better risk coverage, lower false positives, improved throughput, stronger evidence to regulators, and sustainable cost-to-serve.
Our Team and Culture
You’ll join a high‑performing, collaborative team that values ownership, trust and low hierarchy. From day one, you’ll have the freedom to drive impact—supported by peers who share knowledge generously and celebrate wins together.
What You Bring
- Master’s degree (e.g., Business, Economics, Finance, Law, Criminology).
- 4–7+ years consulting in financial services with deep FCC expertise (AML/CTF, Sanctions, KYC/CDD, SIRA, TM).
- Demonstrable experience designing/implementing FCC TOM, governance and controls.
- Familiarity with RegTech/AI opportunities and constraints in FCC; adept at stakeholder management up to ExCo.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; strong network and market vision.
- Certifications (e.g., CAMS/ICA) are a plus; proactive, balanced and resilient.
What We Offer
- Permanent contract with competitive salary and bonus scheme.
- A lease car, NS Business Card, or reimbursement of your travel expenses
- 26 vacation days (option to buy more).
- Fully employer-funded pension plan.
- Flexible hours and hybrid work environment.
