YOUR ROLE
As a Software Engineer – Industrial Systems & OT Integration at Capgemini Engineering, you will design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions that connect IT systems with Operational Technology (OT) in critical infrastructure environments. You’ll contribute to real-time data acquisition, processing, and visualization platforms, working with technologies like Windows, Linux Red Hat, Kafka, and Kubernetes, while collaborating with grid engineers and manufacturing experts. Different database sources like relational databases(MSSQL), Time-series databases and other Vendor specific options.
In this role, you will (or willing to learn):
- Develop and integrate software modules for real-time synchro phasor data and SCADA/EMS platforms.
- Implement and optimize algorithms for grid stability, oscillation detection, and predictive analytics.
- Design APIs and dashboards for intuitive operator interaction using geospatial and time-series data.
- Support system testing, validation, and troubleshooting across IT/OT boundaries.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IEC 61850, IEC 62351, and IEEE C37.118.
- Collaborate across IT/OT teams to validate system responses and maintain cybersecurity and resilience.
YOUR PROFILE
- 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in real-time or industrial systems.
- Proficiency in Windows or Linux Red Hat environments (mandatory).
- Strong skills in C/C++, Java, or Python for analytical and real-time applications.
- Experience with data streaming frameworks like Kafka, and containerization tools such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with SCADA/EMS systems, and industrial protocols.
- Understanding of power systems or manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams bridging IT and OT.
