Role: Transition Management
Capgemini is seeking a Director-level executive for the role of Transition Management to lead and deliver complex transition programs across geographies and towers.
Location: Bangalore, Mumbai
Our Ideal Candidate
- 15+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 10 years in Transition Management or related leadership roles.
- Proven Track record of managing complex and large IT Engagements
- Prior experience in designing transition solutions for large engagements
- Have excellent communication skills at all levels with the ability to convey complex information.
- Prior experience in managing delivery teams and participated in transition projects
- Displays a thorough understanding of application management and transition services
- Strong Presentation, Stakeholder Management, Communication & Facilitation skills with intense customer orientation
- Possess excellent analytical skills to think problems/circumstances through and develop
- credible/detailed plans to address, thoroughly analysing the “what if” scenarios
- Working knowledge or certifications on PMP, Prince2 and other similar industry specific standards (desirable)
- Understanding of Agile Methodology (desirable)
- Adjusts and align positively to situations that involve rapidly changing tasks, shifting priorities, simultaneous demands or transitions into new assignments
- Takes a proactive, self-reliant approach, identifying and seizing opportunities and taking decisive action
Responsibilities
Pre-Sales:
- Respond to RFP/RFI by drafting the application transition solution including approach, timelines & costs
- Develop Transition strategy to move projects from Client/3rd parties to Capgemini including knowledge transfer
- Influence and shape application transition solutions, collaborating with bid team, solution analysts and architects to come up with a winning proposal.
- Develop Transition project plan, milestones and effort estimates managing project deliverable in line with project plan
- Participated and lead client Orals/defence meetings, due diligence, BAFO
Transition Project:
- Delivery of Transition projects for large sized engagements with multi tower and muti geography presence
- Delivery of project responsibilities to time, cost and quality, accountable for full transition project
- Manager complex knowledge transfer process effectively using all the quality checks.
- Responsible to ensure smooth and seamless support transition from project phase into Hypercare stabilisation phases and finally hand over to business as usual.
- Ensure appropriate reporting is in place to monitor the effectiveness of the project.
- Produce metrics for service transition on a regular basis for internal and external client consumption.
General:
- Actively participate in Internal Organization activities – Performance reviews, Process improvements, transition methodology improvements
- Share Learnings, coach, and mentor other transition team members.
- Provide Leadership oversight on the Organization initiatives focussing on value and cost benefit.
- Regular review of Service Transition processes, to ensure quality, consistency, and validity
- Ensure commitment to achieving organisational and departmental goals and objectives
