Your role
As a Mechatronic Engineer specializing in Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testing, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing advanced testing solutions for automotive systems. Working with a leading automotive manufacturer in Brussels, you will bridge the gap between mechanical, electrical, and software engineering to create robust validation environments.
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Designing, developing, and implementing HIL test benches for automotive mechatronic systems, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standards
- Creating and executing test plans and procedures to validate complex automotive control systems and components
- Developing simulation models that accurately represent physical systems for real-time testing environments
- Analyzing test results, documenting findings, and providing recommendations for system improvements
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including software developers, mechanical engineers, and client stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of HIL systems
Your profile
- Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HIL testing, preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of automotive control systems, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay)
- Proficiency with HIL testing tools and environments such as dSPACE, National Instruments, or ETAS
- Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB/Simulink for test automation and model development
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechatronic systems and identify root causes of issues
