Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect/Modeler to lead the design and implementation of our enterprise data architecture. This role will focus on Data Vault modeling, strategy development, and the creation of robust data design principles, standards, guardrails, and patterns. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the enterprise data layer and ensuring high-quality data integration and governance across platforms.

Let’s talk about the roles and responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Data Vault modeling strategies aligned with enterprise architecture goals.
  • Design and maintain the Enterprise Data Layer, ensuring scalability, consistency, and alignment with business needs.
  • Create and update principles, standards, guardrails, and reusable patterns for data modeling and architecture.
  • Review and approve data models created by analysts and modelers, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
  • Design system integrations with Databricks and manage the governance process for approvals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support end-to-end data delivery and solution implementation.
  • Assess and evaluate tools for Enterprise Data Dictionary and Glossary capabilities.
  • Leverage Azure Databricks and DBT for data modeling, transformation, and integration tasks within the enterprise data ecosystem.
  • Provide architectural guidance on Databricks-based solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and performance requirements.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in Data Vault modeling and enterprise data architecture.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data integration.
  • Experience designing and implementing system integrations, especially with Databricks.
  • Familiarity with data modeling tools and enterprise data management platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor data analysts/modelers.
