Job Description
As a Guidewire Architect Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, architecture, and implementation of Guidewire solutions (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) for enterprise insurance clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, high-performance, and maintainable solutions that align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture:
Design end-to-end architecture for Guidewire implementations and integrations.
Define technical standards, patterns, and best practices.
Lead architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
Project Leadership:
Act as the technical lead for Guidewire projects, overseeing development teams.
Provide mentorship and guidance to developers and consultants.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and project managers to ensure successful delivery.
Integration & Configuration:
Lead integration of Guidewire with external systems (e.g., payment gateways, document management, CRM).
Oversee configuration and customization of Guidewire modules using GOSU, Java, and XML.
Stakeholder Communication:
Interface with clients to gather requirements and present architectural solutions.
Translate business needs into technical specifications.
Quality & Performance:
Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to security standards.
Conduct code reviews and performance tuning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in enterprise software development.
4+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter).
Strong expertise in GOSU, Java/J2EE, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and integration frameworks.
Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform and DevOps practices is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Guidewire certifications (e.g., PolicyCenter Configuration, Integration).
Experience in the P&C insurance domain.
Knowledge of data architecture and downstream integration
