YOUR ROLE
We are seeking a FinOps Analyst with extensive experience implementing FinOps strategies in AWS resources achieving cost and infrastructure optimizations in multi-cloud environments. This role is focused on cost control strategies, cost data visualization and governance, estimate and forecast, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will bring a deep knowledge about cloud and FinOps principles applied in a big scale multi-cloud infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
- Cost optimization: Identify cost optimization opportunities for principal cloud services (EC2, Elacticache, S3, RDS, Bedrock, etc.), implement best practices in deployment in cloud computing, RI and SP purchase process and communicate results and next steps in optimization process
- Cost control strategies: Understand cost monitoring tools, budgets and alerts to prevent cost spikes, configure alerts by team, services and linked account, set budgets and notifications by cost and usage
- Cost data visualization: Use and implement data services (Athena) to prepare data to develop cost dashboards (CUR and Quick Sight) and maintain accurate data and analysis of principal details like cost, usage, SP and RI coverage and others
- Governance: Develop communication strategies with technical teams about FinOps strategy, objectives, and process improvements
- Estimate and forecast: Prepare forecast by cost and usage or linked account to design strategies to save and control money in relation with organizational strategy
- Negotiation and relationship with cloud vendors: Capability to review EDP discounts and others
YOUR PROFILE
- Good conversational English (B2, C1, C2)
- 4 years of experience in FinOps, cloud computing fundamentals and technical optimization strategies and cloud cost management
- Experience with S3, RDS, EC2, Athena, Quick Sight and other cloud financial management services
- Capacity to work with big scale multicloud infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
- FinOps Practitioner Certification-AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification- AWS Solutions Architect Certification
- Experience in Cloud Financial Management tools (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus
- Knowledge of data (Athena) and storage (S3) services and visualization tools (Quick Sight)
