Due to strong growth and increasing demand from our customers, we are now looking for a skilled Azure Database Specialist to join our Nordic team in Finland. You will be part of Capgemini's Cloud & Infrastructure Services (CIS) unit, focusing on project and consulting services in the Nordics. Our goal is to offer customers comprehensive cloud solutions with industry-specific expertise, advanced cloud technology, and global resources. We offer a variety of services to our customers, from strategic advice to project implementation.
You will help customers optimize their use of cloud database resources as part of a balanced IT delivery portfolio. You will be engaged in various database-related commitments and customer projects covering the entire lifecycle, from proposal/justification to database design and implementation.
As an Azure Database Specialist , you will:
•Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure database solutions that meet business needs
•Manage both on-premises and cloud-based database environments in hybrid configurations
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and develop database solutions that align with business goals.
•Evaluate database technologies and services to recommend best practices and solutions to optimize performance, reliability, and scalability
•Administer and optimize Azure PaaS databases including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Maria DB, and Oracle
•Manage database migrations from on-premises to Azure cloud environments
•Implement database security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
•Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies
•Provide technical expertise in database administration and troubleshooting
•Stay updated on database technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and improve our database offerings
•Work closely with customers, partners, and other business units to develop and implement innovative database solutions
YOUR PROFILE
Requirements:
•Valid Azure Database Administrator Associate level certification
•Good written and oral skills in Finnish and satisfactory written and oral skills in English
•At least half-time work experience as an Azure database expert for at least 2 years within the last 3 years
•At least half-time work experience as an on-premises database expert for at least 2 years within the last 5 years
Additional Qualifications:
•Valid Expert level certification
•Experience in jointly managing on-premises and cloud databases
•Experience managing Azure PaaS databases (Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Maria DB, Oracle) for 2 years in the last 3 years
•Azure Cosmos DB Developer Specialty certification
Additional Technical Skills:
•Understanding of hybrid database solutions and experience in integrating cloud databases with traditional on-premises database environments
•Knowledge of database performance optimization and cost management practices
•Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
•Understanding of database security best practices and compliance requirements
•Experience with database migration tools and methodologies
•Knowledge of database monitoring and alerting systems
•Understanding of hybrid cloud solutions and experience in integrating public cloud into traditional hosting/delivery models
