Job Description
YOUR ROLE
As a Business Analyst in the Energy & Utilities industry , you will act as a critical link between business needs and technological solutions, ensuring the successful implementation of impactful projects in the Energy & Utilities domain.
- Gather and document business requirements using interviews, workshops, and user stories.
- Use data to gather a deep understanding of market processes and assess root causes for unexpected results.
- Analyze and map Business processes to identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design technology solutions aligned with business goals.
- Ensure solution alignment with different stakeholders
- Contribute to project success by participating in testing and validation activities.
MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in the Energy & Utilities industry.
- Strong knowledge of the Belgian Energy Market, Distribution Grid Operators, the Energy supply chain, Regulationsand the Energy Transition (e.g., MIG6, GDPR, CREG)
- Proficiency with business analysis techniques and tools such as UML or BPMN.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Language and Location: Resident in Belgium or open to relocate, fluent oral and written communication skills in English and at least understand and speak Dutch (or French) on a professional level, willing to travel occasionally.
NICE TO HAVE
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with Data Analytics, SQL, MS Access, PowerBI
- Knowledge of Energy & Utilities IT Systems: Salesforce CRM, SAP ISU, Central Market System, Mecoms
- Relevant certifications such as IREB, ECBA, or CBAP.
