About the Job You’re Considering
The Program Performance Manager (PPM) is responsible for driving continuous improvement in structural industrial performance—specifically in delivery and quality—across assigned programs. While the PPM plays a critical role in performance enhancement, they are not accountable for day-to-day operational execution.
Your Role
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Integrated Product Team (IPT) and operations, with support from all relevant functions.
- Escalate industrial blockers to the IPT when functional support is required.
- Cascade IPT requirements that impact industrial operations.
- Act as the industrial focal point for customer interactions as required by the program.
- Identify and prioritize critical industrial activities within the IPT, particularly in collaboration with engineering (e.g., cost reduction, manufacturability, design changes, non-conformities).
- Validate design changes on behalf of operations.
- Collect, consolidate, and assess risks; develop and evaluate mitigation plans.
- Lead monthly Overall Risk Management (OvRM) reviews during internal and external transfers.
- Ensure recovery action plans are robust and consistent in cases of non-performance.
- Verify that manufacturing and assembly plans align with established rules and safeguard program integrity.
- Recommend adjustments to buffering policies, including Buffer Stock, Buffer Time, and Production Plan buffer targets.
- Propose enhancements to the industrial scheme based on performance data and risk assessments.
- Analyze and report on the performance of the program’s industrial scheme.
- Collaborate with the program team to develop protection plans for high- and low-demand scenarios, including associated customer logistics conditions.
Your Skills and Experience
- College diploma or university degree, preferably in Engineering or Business Administration.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project/Program Management.
- Proven experience working with external customers.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles.
- At least 2 years of management experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual proficiency is considered an asset.
- Technical Knowledge: LG product and process expertise, configuration management, MRPII fundamentals, ERP system proficiency.
- Core Skills: Visionary communication, procurement and purchasing expertise, execution of recovery plans, financial acumen, project management.
- Soft Skills: Leadership, customer orientation, cross-functional team management, proactive mindset, autonomy, performance-driven approach.
