Your Role

The AIX Engineer is responsible for the implementation, and support of IBM AIX systems within enterprise environments. This role ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of AIX infrastructure to support business-critical applications and services (IBM iSeries & pSeries)

• Install, configure, and maintain AIX operating systems and related software on IBM Power Systems.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
• Manage LPARs, VIO servers, and PowerVM virtualization.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support deployments and integrations.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and audit requirements.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide escalation support as needed.

Your Profile

• Hands-on experience with IBM AIX administration in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of PowerHA, NIM, LVM, and HMC.
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage integration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with scripting (Shell, Python) for automation.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and change management.
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., banking) preferred.
