YOUR TASKS

ACO Cloud Operations Engineers play a crucial role in managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services to ensure optimal performance, availability, security, and compliance. They leverage automation, monitoring, and incident response practices to streamline operations and minimize downtime, thus enabling the efficient delivery of cloud-based solutions.

Project Context: Transitions & Transformations Project and Service Run phase for Autobahn des Bundes, Subproject Hybrid Datacenter

Transition:
• Takeover of operation and support of customer infrastructure (as is).
Target Platform (FMO):
• Azure Public or Azure Local in the Capgemini/Equinix data center.

YOUR PROFILE

In-depth knowledge and extensive support/operational experience, particularly in:
• Microsoft AZURE Cloud and related AZURE products and services
• Dedicated Managed Compute: good knowledge of operating a Azure Local Stack and a VMware ESX environment and good skills in MS Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise
• Monitoring: good knowledge of Azure Monitor, Grafana and VMware vRealize Operations
• Data Center Automation: good understanding (theory and practice) of infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, Azure Bicep and Ansible managed by Azure DevOps
Storage: good knowledge of operating Storage systems incl. vSAN and Azure storage
• Backup and Archive: good knowledge of operating a scalable Dell EMC Power Protect Data Domain 9x

Additional skills
• Good understanding of ITIL processes
• Experience with Knowledge Acquisition, documentation and management
• Team player and (pro) active attitude (Share your knowledge and learn from others)
• Willing to learn and face new challenges
• Good communication, presentation and reporting skills
• Identifying customer requirements

Existing certifications or the willingness to obtain these certifications
• AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals (must have)
• AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate (nice to have)
• AZ-600 Azure Stack Hub Operator Associate (nice to have)
• AZ-400 DevOps Engineer Expert (nice to have)
