Job Description

  • Expertise in Linux administration, shell scripting, performance tuning, system security monitoring, troubleshooting, implementation, deployment and automation to ensure high availability and performance of critical systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE) in physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
  • Manage core services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, NFS, Samba, Apache/Nginx, SSH, and FTP.
  • Configure and manage logical volume management (LVM), RAID, and file systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex system and application issues.
  • Implement and enforce security policies for user access and authentication.
  • Manage Linux systems in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Support / Perform OS Build & upgrade initiatives to address obsolescence remediation.

Primary skills

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE) in physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
  • Manage core services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, NFS, Samba, Apache/Nginx, SSH, and FTP.
  • Configure and manage logical volume management (LVM), RAID, and file systems.
  • Plan and execute Linux server migrations, including OS upgrades, hardware refreshes, and data center relocation.

Secondary skills

  • Troubleshooting and incident resolution Service management (systemd, init), Configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Puppet – if applicable)
  • Managing filesystem and storage management & security hardening.
  • Linux Package management (YUM, APT, etc.)
