Your role
As a Data Migration Expert (SAP), you'll be at the forefront of designing and executing data migration strategies that ensure smooth and efficient transitions across systems. Your role will be pivotal in overseeing data migration projects, from initial planning through to execution and validation. You'll ensure that data is accurately and securely transferred between systems, maintaining integrity and consistency throughout the process. Utilizing advanced tools like SAP migration cockpit and EMIGALL, you’ll streamline migration workflows and resolve any challenges that arise. Key tasks & activities
- You act as an experienced data migration consultant on data migration and data governance projects. You engage in a diverse range of activities, including delivery planning, data gathering, data cleansing and validation, development, testing, and execution of the migration.
- You interact with clients during workshops and trainings, forming the key link between customer requirements and technical solutions.
- You lead the implementation team, offering guidance and training to junior members while ensuring strict adherence to the project plan.
- You work closely with your project manager and the project team, but also with functional colleagues to create the best solution possible. You act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams.
- You provide support in proposals, product developments, and further research around Data Solutions
Job Description - Grade Specific
Knowledge & Experience
- You have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in executing (SAP) migration projects, showcasing extensive analytical skills and technical knowledge on end-to-end migration lifecycles.
- You have acquired skills within:
- Data analysis: ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of the migrated data by cleansing, transforming and validating data. This requires the use of data analysis languages such as SQL, and data analysis tools such as MS Excel or Access.
- Data migration: planning, executing and managing the migration of data from legacy systems to new target environments. This involves ensuring seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, which requires proficiency in data migration tools such as S/4HANA migration cockpit, Emigall and/or LSMW. Knowledge of ETL tools as SAP Data services or Datasphere is a plus.
- Data migration planning: Strong team management skills are necessary to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that all members are aligned with project goals and timelines. This includes delegating tasks appropriately, providing guidance and support, fostering a collaborative work environment, and managing stakeholder expectations.
- You possess knowledge on one or more of the main functional areas within a business, e.g., sales & distribution, purchasing, material management, financial management, and Human capital managementYou are a proactive, results-driven team player with strong communication skills, a customer-oriented approach, and a consultancy mindset, capable of collaborating with diverse colleagues and confidently representing Capgemini to clients.
- Fluent in Dutch/French and English.
