Job Summary:

We seek a highly experienced and passionate GCP Architect to join our team. As a GCP Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient data solutions on the Google Cloud Platform. You will work with clients, developers, and architecture teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective data solutions. You will also be responsible for developing high-level and detailed platform architecture, data architecture and design documentation and implementing data security frameworks and enterprise data architecture best practices.

  • Architect and design end-to-end data solutions on the Google Cloud Platform, focusing on data warehousing and big data
  • Collaborate with clients, developers, and architecture teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
  • Develop high-level and detailed data architecture and design documentation. Implement data security frameworks and enterprise data architecture best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.
  • Implement data management and data governance strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Work with data flows, taxonomy, lineage, and virtualization techniques to optimize data operations and organization.
  • Apply your expertise in data modeling using tools such as Erwin to create conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Architect both batch and real-time data solutions, leveraging GCP services and technologies.
  • Manage metadata and documentation using Erwin's modeling and data cataloging capabilities.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to understand domain data requirements and incorporate them into the design deliverables.
Experience and Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a Data Architect role, supporting warehouse and big data platforms/environments.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Enterprise/Senior Data Platform Architect role, including Cloud data platforms.
  • Strong expertise in data exploration using SQL and a deep understanding of data relationships.
  • Extensive knowledge and implementation experience in data management, governance, and security frameworks.
  • Proven experience in creating high-level and detailed data architecture and design documentation.
  • Strong aptitude for business analysis to understand domain data requirements.
  • Knowledge in Data Warehouse Data Modeling using Erwin, including Data Flow, ER diagrams, and Conceptual, Logical, and Physical models.
  • Hands-on experience with architecting end-to-end data solutions for both batch and real-time designs.
  • Familiarity with metadata and documentation management using Erwin and data cataloging techniques.
  • Previous experience with Teradata and GCP platforms for data curation and analytics use cases.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, developers, and architecture teams to implement enterprise-level data solutions.
  • Preferred experience with GCP, including DBT, Cloud Composer & BigQuery.
