Long Description

Job Description: Data Warehouse Support and Enhancement SpecialistPosition Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Warehouse Support and Enhancement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing our data warehouse environment. The role involves handling complex incidents, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Leadership and Mentorship:
o Mentor junior developers, providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and validation of their work.
o Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
2. Incident Management:
o Act as the primary point of contact (SPOC) for critical incidents (P1 and P2).
o Resolve incidents that cannot be addressed by Level 1 support and escalate to appropriate teams (CACIB or 3rd parties) when necessary.
o Assist in building a comprehensive knowledge base (KB) to enable efficient incident response by Level 1 support in the future.
3. Problem Management:
o Analyze recurring issues and propose permanent solutions to address root causes.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to complete root cause analyses (RCA) and implement corrective measures.
4. 3rd Party and Vendor Coordination:
o Coordinate with 3rd party technical support teams and manage support tickets effectively.
o Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for technical escalations related to Change the Bank (CTB) and problem resolution.
5. Operational Handover and Reporting:
o Provide detailed daily updates on activities, including shift handovers to ensure continuity.
o Maintain thorough documentation of processes, changes, and resolutions.
6. Business Requirements Analysis and Development:
o Work closely with business teams to analyze and understand requirements.
o Develop and implement code changes to meet business needs, ensuring quality and efficiency.
7. Testing and Validation:
o Conduct thorough testing of code changes, including functional changes and non-regression testing.
o Ensure robust quality assurance processes are in place.

Long Description

Mandatory Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in PL/SQL and Sybase SQL for database development and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in Shell Scripting for automation and operational tasks.
• Hands-on experience with Control-M for batch job scheduling and monitoring.
• Proficiency in SQL development tools such as SQL Developer and Rapid SQL.
Optional Skills:
• Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage, or Talend) is an added advantage.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Proven experience in supporting and enhancing data warehouse applications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
