The Agile Delivery Center Spain @ Capgemini still growing thanks to new and innovative international projects from our important customers who place their trust in us every day. We are an Agile Delivery center based in Valencia and Murcia. We work with large international clients in innovative application development projects, following a distributed agile model for all Europe.

We are looking for STEM Graduates (Computer Science/Telecommunications/Multimedia/Mathematics...) or FP DAM/DAW graduates; with intermediate/high level of French, who want to start and grow in the world of software development. You will participate in leading innovative international technological projects, with training provided by the company and support through our Internship French Program.

YOUR ROLE

As Junior Software Engineer you will play a crucial role in development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications specializing in Java technologies. You will work in a multidisciplinary and international environment with cutting-edge technologies. In Agile environments, you will collaborate with the continuous improvement of development processes.

In our teams, a Software Engineer applies scientific methods to analyze and solve software engineering problems. He/she is responsible for research and acquire knowledge in its technical discipline. He/she collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.

The Software Engineer builds skills and expertise of his/her software discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in our internal Professional Communities.

YOUR PROFILE

Is the entry level in Software Engineering with a foundational understanding on programming concepts, software design and software development principles. Consistently works to direction with reducing supervision, producing accurate and reliable results. They are expected to be eager to learn and know when to ask questions and check for understanding. Understands and follows work processes. Is aware of costs related to own work. Organizes own time to deliver against tasks set by others with a short term horizon. Works co-operatively with others to achieve team goals and has a direct and positive impact on project performance. Actively seeking feedback to improve and starting to manage own career with support.

  • Base knowledge in Java: Beginner experience with Java 8-17 (streams, interfaces...) and Spring frameworks.
  • Software Development Lifecycle: Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies such as Scrum.
  • Technical Knowledge: HTML, CSS, JSP, SOAP, REST. JavaScript/TypeScript (Angular) will be a plus.
  • Database Management: Beginner experience with relational and non-relational databases, including SQL and NoSQL.
  • Testing and Debugging: Beginner experience in unit testing, integration testing, and debugging using tools like JUnit and Mockito.
  • Version Control: Beginner experience with version control systems like Git, GitLab, GitHub.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams. At least B1 level in French.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
