Job Description
- Veeam Availability Suite, Avamar, IDPA
- Implement Veeam Availability Suite, Avamar, IDPA Deduplication. IP Network, WAN and LAN free (SAN) based data backup design and configuration (familiarity).
- Data protection and backup recovery solutions familiarity such as using virtual tape, disk to disk to tape, data replication.
- Unix and/or Windows systems administration experience. Configuring, Maintaining NDMP backups for various NAS technologies. Configuring, Maintaining and Troubleshooting Database
- Backups - Planning for Media rotation, Management and Offsite Movement Scheduling of New Backups/ Modifying existing Jobs.
- Performing Restores Backup Monitoring and Reporting Tool Installation. Troubleshooting Backup Failures. Scripting / Automation of Minor Tasks
- Storage/Hyperconverged – HPE3PAR, Nimble, PURE, EMC, Simplivity
- Install, configure as well as maintain storage hardware backup inclusive of physical plus virtual tape libraries or drives along with disk storage targets.
- Perform activities related to install, configure and managing SAN devices and fiber switches.
- Administer Brocade director FC switches as well as blade chassis FC devices.
- Execute FC zoning for development and production storage volumes.
- Manage Pure snapshot as well as recovery methods for storage volumes.
- Execute across-site replication of significant DR data.
- Supervise volume replication overnight jobs and execute improvements.
- Oversee IO performance of production along with development of databases LUNs.
- Conduct bottleneck evaluation to identify performance issues.
- Ensure backup methods are in place as well as tested for FC LUNs.
- Develop and maintain records for entire storage as well as FC systems.
- Administer entire Storage systems.
