About the job you’re considering:
We are looking for a Java Developer with solid understanding of Core Java and hands-on experience in building scalable, cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will be skilled in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot, with practical experience in working on cloud platforms like AWS. Experience in Agile teams, along with tools like JIRA, is expected.
Your Role:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies
- Build robust and well-documented REST APIs, using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI for documentation
- Develop modular and maintainable microservices with clear separation of concerns
- Integrate with relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL using Spring Data JPA
- Implement service integration using technologies like Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud!
- Deploy and lead cloud-native services on AWS
- Collaborate with product owners, testers, and other developers within an Agile/Scrum framework!
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and CI/CD integration
Your skills and experience:
- Proficient in Core Java, object-oriented programming, and design principles
- We are looking strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and RESTful web services
- We are looking someone comfortable with Swagger/OpenAPI for API documentation and testing
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and communication patterns (e.g., REST, messaging)
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying apps on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and build tools like Maven or Gradle
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA
- Experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms
- Exposure to InfluxDB or other time-series databases
- Basic understanding or willingness to work with React.js for front-end features
- Experience using Docker for containerization and CI/CD pipelines
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Always eager to learn and improve.
- Strong interpersonal and writing skills.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is [$83,000 - $142,480]. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
