Teamcenter Business Systems Analyst

Location: Remote (US Based)

About the job you’re considering

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Systems Analyst with expertise in Siemens Teamcenter and some CAD tools to support the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of PLM solutions. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical capabilities, ensuring that the Teamcenter and its integrated CAD solutions align with organizational goals and improve engineering and product development workflows.

Your role

  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
    o Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritize business requirements for Teamcenter and CAD tool namely NX, CATIA et al
    o Analyze existing workflows and identify areas for process improvement and automation.
    o Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for the PLM system.
  • PLM System Support and Optimization:
    o Support the configuration and customization of Teamcenter to meet business requirements.
    o Ensure seamless integration between Teamcenter, NX, and other enterprise systems (ERP, MES, etc.).
    o Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Teamcenter and NX usage, including user support and training.
  • Solution Implementation:
    o Assist in implementing new Teamcenter modules, NX configurations, and PLM upgrades.
    o Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure successful deployment of PLM solutions.
    o Create and maintain system documentation, including workflows, processes, and training materials.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    o Act as the primary liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors for Teamcenter and NX initiatives.
    o Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
    o Facilitate workshops and training sessions to drive user adoption and engagement with PLM tools.
  • Data Management and Governance:
    o Ensure data integrity and governance in Teamcenter, including accurate BOMs, product structures, and engineering data.
    o Support the migration of legacy data to Teamcenter and NX, ensuring alignment with business needs.
    o Develop and enforce best practices for PLM data management and usage.


Your skills and experience

  • Educational Background:
    o Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    o Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, focusing on Teamcenter and NX.
    o Hands-on experience with configuring and managing Teamcenter workflows, data structures, and integrations.
    o Experience with NX CAD software, including part modeling, assemblies, and drafting.
  • Technical Skills:
    o Proficiency in Teamcenter modules (e.g., Engineering, BOM Management, Change Management).
    o Strong understanding of NX capabilities and integration with Teamcenter.
    o Familiarity with scripting or programming (e.g., ITK, BMIDE, or custom NX/Open scripts) is a plus.
    o Experience with integrations between Teamcenter, ERP, and MES systems.
  • Soft Skills:
    o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    o Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
    o Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global team environment.
    o Bilingual preferred
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    o Siemens Teamcenter or NX certifications.
    o Business analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission.
