The Role
We are seeking a Global Lead - Public Safety & Critical Communications with deep expertise in telecom, connectivity, and mission-critical communications (MCX, 5G, Edge, IoT, PMR/TETRA migration). This role requires a strategic thinker and industry thought leader with experience in public safety networks, regulatory advisory, business modelling, and telecom innovation. The ideal candidate will drive strategy, presales, delivery, and partnerships for public safety and telecom innovation projects, advising governments, enterprises, and telecom operators on mission-critical networks, spectrum strategy, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Public Safety & Critical Communications: Lead migration from PMR/TETRA to 4G/5G; define strategic roadmaps; drive business development; act as thought leader; develop offerings for public safety and critical communications.
- 5G & IoT Strategy: Drive 5G service offerings; advise on 5G-enabled digital manufacturing and connectivity; engage with partners; conduct assessments; provide strategy and launch guidance.
- Spectrum & Network Strategy: Advise on spectrum acquisition and valuation; define network roadmaps; develop auction strategies.
- Regulation & Compliance: Support regulatory bodies in market analysis and cost modelling; define pricing structures; advise on policy frameworks.
- Marketing & Business Strategy: Conduct technology and market analysis; develop marketing strategies; support business diversification.
Your profile
- 20+ years of experience in telecom, connectivity, and public safety communications.
- Proven track record in public safety and mission-critical communications projects across Europe.
- Core Competencies: Strategic analysis; mission-critical communications; spectrum strategy; 5G & IoT; program management; regulatory expertise; innovation; technico-economic analysis.
- Industry & Technical Expertise: Public safety communications; telecom infrastructure; Industry 4.0 & IoT; regulatory compliance.
- Education & Certification: bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant fields; certifications like PMP, SAFe Agilist, ITIL, TOGAF, or regulatory compliance certifications.
- You will be required to pass through SC Security Clearance if you are successful in this recruitment process, which is a condition of undertaking the role
