Job Description

Senior Consultant (full-time; multiple openings)
Senior Consultant needed in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to design, develop, enhance, customize, and integrate software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate efforts of lower-level team members while guiding them in the process.
  • Gather and analyze client requirements and design and develop computer systems.
  • Analyze existing applications to identify required performance and response time improvements.
  • Identify operational and technical issues and translate technical blueprints into requirements and specifications.
  • Develop systems requirements and implement systems strategy.
  • Perform impact analysis of any code or design changes.
  • Create data models, workflow designs, and integration approaches.
  • Install necessary software and customize software to clients' unique requirements.
  • Responsible for software-specific design and realization, as well as testing, deployment and release management, or technical and functional application management of client-specific package-based solutions.
  • Design, prototype, and test support procedures and implement practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Resolve issues to ensure delivery of project.
  • Coordinate with application support team to eliminate recurring incidents and to minimize the impact of incidents.

Required Skills

Must have a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equiv) in Computer Science, Business, Engineering (any), Math, or related field, plus two (2) years of IT experience. Must have one (1) year of IT work experience with any one of the following skill sets:

1. Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle;
2. AWS, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipeline;
3. PCF Cloud, Postman, and JUnit;
4. SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, and SAP Solution Manager;
5. Oracle, SQL Server, and Service Now;
6. XML, JavaScript, and PL/SQL;
7. SQL Server, SPSS, and Jira; OR
8. Postman, Rally, and SoapUI.


In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent), we will accept three (3) years of post-secondary study in any field, plus three (3) years of IT experience. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel and relocation required. Domestic travel required as needed based on Capgemini's business needs, including assigned project needs. Employees' relocation to unanticipated locations throughout the US dependent on business needs. Financial assistance offered for company-initiated moves. Telecommuting may be permitted as needed.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
