Position: GTS MA Senior Network Engineer
Location: any state of Mexico
General description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated M&A Network Engineer to join our IT/Network Operations team. This project-based role will focus on supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A) by assessing, integrating, and optimizing network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Cisco network equipment and a strong preference for candidates with Palo Alto SD-WAN expertise. This role requires deep technical knowledge, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a strong ability to deliver seamless network transitions.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco equipment.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, and wireless technologies.
• Experience with network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
• Demonstrated experience in M&A network integrations and large-scale deployments.
• Strong understanding of network security best practices and firewalls.
• Experience with site-to-site VPN tunnels on Cisco networks.
• Expertise in heatmapping and Cisco wireless configurations.
• Experience with Cisco DNA Center and ISE configurations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Experience with Palo Alto SD-WAN solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid environments.
• Experience with network monitoring and performance tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG).
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Adaptability to dynamic and fast-paced M&A environments.
Responsibilities:
1. M&A Network Integration:
- Lead network infrastructure assessments for acquired entities and recommend integration strategies.
- Plan, design, and execute network cutovers to ensure minimal downtime and seamless transitions.
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer for network solutions post-M&A.
2. Cisco Network Equipment Configuration:
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Optimize VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and QoS settings for integrated environments.
- Configure and maintain site-to-site VPN tunnels on Cisco networks.
- Configure and manage Cisco DNA Center and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network automation and security.
- Conduct wireless heatmapping and optimize Cisco wireless configurations for performance and coverage.
3. Palo Alto SD-WAN:
- Design, implement, and support Palo Alto SD-WAN solutions for enhanced connectivity.
- Integrate SD-WAN technologies into existing network architectures to improve performance and scalability.
- Monitor and optimize SD-WAN environments to ensure peak performance.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
- Partner with IT, security, and infrastructure teams to align network integration strategies with overall M&A objectives.
- Provide technical expertise and act as a key point of contact during network transition phases.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve issues and implement new solutions
