YOUR PROJECT

We are looking for an experienced MES architect with experience in both the functional and developmental aspects of manufacturing execution systems (MES). The ideal candidate should have experience in automotive or discrete manufacturing and be proficient in .NET, SQL, PL/SQL and Java technologies. The role includes leading the architecture, design and implementation of MES solutions, managing AMS teams, overseeing the management of SLAs with customers, and ensuring the smooth operation of MES in manufacturing environments.

YOUR TASKS

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of MES solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs, IT infrastructure, and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop, customize, and optimize MES applications using technologies such as .NET, SQL, PL/SQL, and Java.
  • Design and integrate MES with other enterprise systems, including ERP, PLM, SCADA, and IoT platforms.
  • Ensure the MES supports and enhances manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, shop floor control, and quality management.
  • Oversee system configuration and customization, ensuring seamless deployment in automotive or discrete manufacturing environments.
  • Provide functional expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems, ensuring that business requirements are accurately captured and effectively implemented.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into system configurations, customizations, and enhancements.
  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage and lead AMS teams responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of MES applications.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring that they deliver high-quality service within agreed SLAs.
  • Act as the point of contact for complex SLA management with customers, ensuring that all service requirements are met and maintained.
  • Handle escalations, prioritizing and resolving critical issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve incident response, resolution times, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, from the planning phase through deployment and post-implementation support.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, production, and business units, to ensure seamless MES integration.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring that all project milestones and deliverables are met in line with customer expectations.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of MES systems, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation.
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in MES, and propose innovations to enhance system capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for system configurations, designs, and changes.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), with at least 3 years in an architecture role.
  • Significant experience in automotive or discrete manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong expertise in .NET, SQL, PL/SQL, and Java for MES development and integration.
  • Proven track record of managing AMS teams and handling complex SLA management with customers.
  • Extensive experience in MES architecture and design.
  • Strong programming skills with .NET, SQL, PL/SQL, and Java.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and integration strategies between MES and ERP.
  • Experience with cloud-based MES solutions or hybrid deployment architectures is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Experience with advanced MES functionalities such as real-time production monitoring, traceability, and advanced analytics.
  • Knowledge of IoT, Industry 4.0, and smart manufacturing trends.
  • Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile) are a plus.
