As part of our CAE & Validation Engineering department within the Power-Parts Business Unit, we are seeking a Front Office Lead specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and thermal simulations. This individual will be responsible for leading the front office team, ensuring technical excellence, and serving as the primary interface with clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Technical Leadership:
• Collaborate with the Team Unit Manager to drive pre-sales activities, including participation in RFI/RFQ processes.
• Lead technical discussions during the early phases of projects, particularly focusing on CFD and thermal simulation aspects.
• Act as a primary contact for clients, ensuring a strong technical and business alignment in project execution.
Research & Development:
• Modeling Innovation: Explore and integrate the latest CFD and thermal modeling techniques to anticipate future trends.
• Internal R&D Projects: Lead research initiatives to develop new tools, methodologies, and products that provide competitive advantages.
• Technology Monitoring: Maintain active surveillance on industry trends, patents, and publications, ensuring the organization remains at the cutting edge of technology.
• Continuous Training: Organize workshops and training sessions to disseminate the latest knowledge and best practices across the team.
Qualifications & Experience
• Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, thermal engineering, or fluid dynamics.
• 5+ years of industry experience, ideally in the automotive or aerospace sectors.
• Proven expertise in CFD simulations using software like Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or equivalent.
• Strong background in thermal analysis, including experience with ANSYS Thermal, COMSOL Multiphysics, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in post-processing tools for CFD and thermal simulations such as Ensight, Paraview.
• Familiarity with meshing tools like ANSYS/META post for CFD preparation.
• In-depth understanding of Finite Element Method (FEM) applications in CFD and thermal simulations.
• Knowledge of powertrain systems (thermal, hybrid, or electric).
• Expertise in fluid dynamics, fatigue analysis, and multi-body system (MBS) simulations related to thermal and fluidic domains.
