The Service Design and Introduction Manager has the key role of introducing new or changed projects to service, in line with the agreed Service Design and the Service Acceptance process. The Service Design and Introduction Manager will engage with the Client teams, Capgemini and External Service Providers, to design services that meet the Client requirements, the service offerings and SLAs of all service areas prior to go live of the service.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of preemployment checks, including: identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)

Your role

  • Review the Client’s High-Level Service Design requirements and ensure the deliverables are in alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Ensuring operational/Service support teams are fully engaged and that the Service Design accurately documents all service and operational processes to meet SLA’s and KPI’s.
  • Confirm with Service Portfolio Management that modified or new services need reviewing.
  • Ensuring that operational service requirements are articulated and delivered by the Project Manager and act as single point of contract for operational services and Project Managers during all project phases
  • Participate in ensuring the Service SD&I Quality Gate process is adhered to, providing support/advice to stakeholders
  • Ensuring assessment of the risks to operational support environments has taken place.
  • Providing a pre-production support “Escalation” point

Your skills and experience

  • Experience in Service Design and Introduction
  • Experience managing a variety of stakeholders including external clients, service delivery 3rd parties and project management.
  • Ability to work under pressure with set deadlines and competing priorities
  • Ability to extract key service specific information from contracts/service schedules and understanding of SLA’s and KPI’s
  • ITIL certification or equivalent
  • Technical understanding of Cloud/Network/ end user services

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
