Job Overview:
As an Engagement Manager, you will be working with senior clients, CG Executives, and Program Managers to manage delivery squads to deliver business outcomes. This will require both IT delivery and business objective success and will require synchronization of work, value, and outcomes across the business and IT.
The role will require the individual to bring best practice support to teams. The role will involve setting up governance and to oversight the delivery program with the various leads.

The following key obligations are a primary focal for the Delivery Lead:
- Senior Executive Relationship and Reporting Skills
- Advanced Delivery capability with strong risk and issue management skills
- Executive reporting and attendance at steering committees
- Mentor and coach agile delivery across teams as required
- Proactively Monitor and intervene to ensure consistent delivery disciplines are undertaken and proper governance and measures are in place/followed
- Support delivery and align them to value stream release trains
- Oversight and support delivery outcomes across complex matrixed organizations
The responsibilities, skills, and duties of the role include:
- Manage complex works programs across matrixed organizations
- Provide Executive reporting
- Manage complex risks and issues across a complex program of work
- Help establish persistent delivery teams;
- Oversight of agile delivery based on the organization's agile delivery approach
- Work with delivery teams, business stakeholders and product owners to break down work if required
- Help prioritize iterative incremental delivery of business value and manage any re-prioritization if the program changes based on executive input
- Support engineering managers and value stream leads to plan for work;
- Provide resource and financial forecasts based on the delivery pipeline across the program
- Coach on maintaining RALLY/JIRA Hygiene,
- Promote an Agile way of working amongst team members;
- As a part of the role, can build productive team culture and dynamics across a complex program
- As a part of the role, coach teams for performance and build a “high performance” culture
- Have the ability to facilitate alternative solution approaches using a consultative style and obtain agreed consensus across a broad stakeholder group
- Proven experience in building and managing communities of Practice
- Foster adoption of proven best practices in Agile from the Industry
- Work with teams to set up delivery measures, baseline them, and drive continuous improvement
- Have the ability to influence and change if required existing delivery practices to allow efficient business value delivery
- Clear obstacles and impediments blocking the team and protect the team from external interruptions and distractions;
- Demonstrate deep experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Track record in delivery by leading through engagement, influencing stakeholders, motivating others, and fostering synergy
- Have strong communication skills
- Successfully implement program/value stream delivery
- Be able to establish delivery measures/metrics
Let’s talk about your qualifications and experience:
- Leadership – accountability, critical thinking, empowerment of squad;
- Program Management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence;
- Has worked with senior client manages
- Sound Big Data/data lake - technical and analytical background;
- Experience within the banking domain would be advantageous;
- Experience in solutions for data platforms/cloud-native solutions would be advantageous;
The following qualifications would be advantageous:
- Project Management Certification
- Agile/SCRUM Certification
- Education level – Degree in Computer Science or related field;
- 10 years of project/program management experience
- Have managed in a complex team/client environment
- Managed Big Data/Analytics programs would be advantageous;
- Candidate must have relevant VISAs, Australian PR, or Australian Citizenship;
- Experience working with the Financial / Supply Chain / Logistics/ Retail / FMCG Industry is preferred but not mandatory.
