Primary Skills

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing data center compute environments, with a strong emphasis on Windows Server, Unix/Linux, and ideally AIX platforms.
• Experience in team leadership and management, including performance management and career development of team members.
• In-depth knowledge of server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) is highly desirable.

Secondary Skills

• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server, Unix (including Linux variants), and AIX systems.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to ensure efficient and reliable operation of the compute infrastructure.
• Security Management: Implement and enforce security best practices across all platforms to safeguard sensitive data and maintain regulatory compliance.

Job Description

• Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for critical systems and data, ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors and service providers to procure hardware, software, and support services as needed.
• Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to anticipate future compute requirements and ensure scalability of infrastructure.
• Incident Management: Lead the resolution of escalated technical issues and participate in on-call rotation schedules as required.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and compliance requirements.
