YOUR ROLE:

Our client is a leading international investment bank and financial services company where we are running Software Development engagements.

We are looking for new team members with strong Java development skills to fulfil the following responsibilities:

The Team:

We have a strong, distributed agile developer team located in Budapest, London, and New York with around 30 people in total. The team works on major strategic initiatives for the Firm including software related hygiene items. We work in biweekly iterations.

You will:

  • Develop resilient and highly scalable systems operating in today's demanding financial environment
  • Deploy solutions for and partner with our users: Securities Lending traders and strategist

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor or higher degree in a STEM field
  • Approx. 3 years’ experience in the related field
  • User level knowledge of Unix/Linux
  • Experience using relational databases (SQL)
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to deliver high-quality software working in multi-person teams

Technical skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Java, primarily within server-side development
  • Good understanding of multi-threaded Java programming
  • Understanding that testing and documentation is critical to delivering high quality solution
