Job Description
- Veeam Backup Configuration
- Design, configure, and manage backup solutions using Veeam and Data Domain technologies.
- Develop and implement backup strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient data protection and disaster recovery.
- Monitor and optimize backup performance, ensuring minimal downtime and quick recovery times.
- Manage and maintain Dell EMC Data Domain systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement and oversee Data Domain upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Data Domain issues.
- Develop and implement comprehensive backup and recovery strategies to protect critical data.
- Expert knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication and related technologies.
- In-depth experience with Dell EMC Data Domain hardware and software.
- Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) or equivalent certification.
- Dell EMC Data Domain Specialist certification is highly desirable.
Primary Skills
- Backup Configuration: Configure Veeam Backup & Replication software to perform regular backups of virtualized environments.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor backup jobs to ensure successful completion and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Perform routine maintenance and updates to backup infrastructure.
- Backup Policies: Develop and enforce backup policies and procedures to ensure data protection and compliance with organizational standards.
- Disaster Recovery: Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure data can be restored in the event of a system failure or disaster.
- Documentation: Maintain documentation related to backup procedures, configurations, and recovery processes.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on backup status, success rates, and storage utilization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams to understand backup requirements and provide technical support and guidance.
