Your Role
An exciting opportunity to be part of a team that will form an integral part of Capgemini’s Logistics squad delivering a broad set of solutions to new and existing clients. This will be made up of a core solution of WMS and many new and exciting complimentary solutions including automation, robotics and many new digital and AI based technologies. The scope of our offering will also include TMS, OMS and instore technology forming part of the wider connected supply chain.
As a Logistics Consultant/Senior Consultant in the business, you’ll help set the direction, driving forward the Logistics team and Operational, Warehouse and Transport capabilities, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team.
As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
- Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
- Internal Contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
- Learning & Development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
Your Profile
We'd love to meet someone with:
- Previous experience of warehouse operations in a Logistics environment and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of warehouse processes and optimisation of.
- Ideally have experience of implementing Manhattan Active platform or other industry leading WMS solutions
- Have a clear understanding of the integrated nature of Supply Chain solutions that integrate with the WMS and onward processes once stock leaves the warehouse e.g., Planning Solutions, OMS, TMS, In store
- Ideally to have experience of implementing TMS and/ or other Supply Chain solutions (see above) To have experience of managing and developing relationships with software vendors
- Have an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of strategic Logistics software solutions
- Have experience of testing process experience and to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of testing methods, tools and strategies
- To have contributed to (Consultant) and led (Senior Consultant) project teams and to understand the wider approach to project delivery and governance with experience of both waterfall and agile methodologies
- Strong Stakeholder management/ engagement and able to demonstrate management approach
- To be able to update on progress both verbally and in written reports/ updates at different levels of the project
- To have a customer first mentality
- To have had experience of producing and managing budgets in a sales and project delivery environments and be able to demonstrate process and approach
- Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
