We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with experience in both backend and frontend automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in test automation using tools such as Karate or RestAssured, and frontend automation tools like Selenium. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and executing automated test scripts for both API and UI components, ensuring seamless integration within our CI/CD pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using tools like Karate or RestAssured.
Implement automated frontend tests using tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks.
Perform API testing for backend services to validate RESTful APIs, including HTTP/HTTPS protocols, and JSON/XML data formats.
Utilize Postman, SoapUI, and Newman to validate API functionality, performance, and security.
Work with Swagger or OpenAPI to generate and validate API documentation and ensure accurate service definitions.
Integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing.
Collaborate with developers and other QA team members to identify test cases and ensure high-quality releases.
Ensure efficient data testing and performance validation of Databricks (if applicable).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience with one of the following test automation frameworks: Karate or RestAssured.
Hands-on experience in frontend automation using Selenium or equivalent tools.
Proficiency in Java for writing and maintaining automated test scripts. Familiarity with JavaScript is a plus.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, and JSON/XML data formats.
Practical experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, and Newman.
Experience with Swagger or OpenAPI for API documentation and testing.
Demonstrated ability to integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
Knowledge of Databricks is a plus but not mandatory.

Preferred Skills:

Understanding of performance testing and load testing of APIs and backend systems.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
