Director Sales - Hi-Tech OEM and Infrastructure

Job Location: Texas or California

Job Description:

In this role, you will lead our portfolio of accounts in the Hi-Tech OEM & Infra space. Capgemini Engineering is one of the largest product engineering services in the world and is an authority in the Hi-Tech enterprise infrastructure market. You will ensure effective sales strategies are in place to achieve revenue and profitability objectives for the company. You will achieve new and existing business sales targets while keeping the sales team motivated and driving sales performance. You will also collaborate with other practices at Capgemini Engineering to offer a complete set of solutions to our Hi-Tech customers – data center engineering, public and hybrid cloud platform development, sustaining engineering of legacy products, product support and sustainability services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You develop relationships with key buyers and decision-makers at new and existing Hi Tech OEM accounts by positioning Capgemini’s cloud and data center engineering services.
  • Build solutions to sophisticated technology business problems/opportunities requiring in-depth knowledge of customer product roadmaps and requirements
  • Get along with senior management levels at customers, determine pursuit strategies
  • Develop account maps, identify potential target opportunities for a services engagement, and drive solutions in consultation with Capgemini’s technical architects
  • You leverage your existing network of relationships at prospective accounts to initiate conversations
  • Build and drive to closure a balanced funnel or pipeline of opportunities
  • Travel may be required for this role – the amount of travel will vary from 25 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements
  • Expectation to reside in Texas or Bay area

Required Skills:

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of Hi Tech OEM and infrastructure including managing/developing strategic account relationships.
  • 10 years' validated experience selling product engineering, cloud platform development, sustaining engineering, testing and product support services and/or solutions to Hi-Tech enterprise infrastructure companies like Dell, HP, Oracle, VMware, Nutanix, NetApp and others.
  • Must have strong understanding of data center technologies, including servers, storage and networking products/platforms
  • Must have proven track record of driving delivery of engineering engagements in offshore locations globally (India preferred)
  • 5 years' provn experience in direct sales with quota preferably in excess of $10M+
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with equivalent work experience.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with deep experience addressing senior management. Demonstrated ability to negotiate high-value deals with a C-level audience and positively influence the outcome.
  • Sales record and credible connection in the decision-making engineering senior management of the above companies is one of the key requirements.
  • Experience and understanding of how to navigate large and complex customer organizations to gain access to key executives, engineering and purchasing decision makers.
  • Excellent networking capabilities including internal and external customers.
  • Experience with C-Level client relationship building and relationship management.Proven ability to operate within a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Unquestionable professional integrity, credibility and character.
