Job Description:
Seeking a qualified QA candidate to become part of Web-services testing team and participate in the testing activities from user dev stories to deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will analyze requirements, review software design, and conduct Test Design, Test Execution, Defect Management, optimize Test Automation and Regression Test Suites, and Release Certification.
- You will develop common Test Classes and Methods for reusability, handle test libraries and improve the Test Framework in parasoft test suite using Jython/ Python/ Java.
- You will work closely with other teams, Product Owners, Dev Engineers, Ops, DBA and Scrum Master to enable the team to deliver to production and provide support.
- You will help predict/estimate realistic amount of efforts to Test the software application.
- You will publish Release Notes and Release Regression Plans after discussions within immediate team, and across dependent testing teams, and have it reviewed by both the development as well as dependent teams.
- You will support Production Cases for their respective team during emergency and critical cases.
- You will drive work to execution through the end of each sprint!
Required Skills:
- 5+ years' experience in SDET with deep Understanding of Testing lifecycle, Test Design methodologies, Test Execution, and Defect Tracking.
- Experience in Web-services API automation testing using Jython/Python/Java and preferably using Parasoft SOA Test and manual testing using SOAPUI, Postman.
- Detailed knowledge of Java web-services API testing, REST and SOAP.
- Hands on experience in XML/JSON data formats and proficient in using SQL for test data setup and data validation.
- Understanding of authentication mechanism in testing web-services.
