About the job you’re considering
Capgemini Engineering is recruiting for a Service Delivery Manager to join Capgemini Engineering TMT (Telecoms, Media and Technology) Team.
Your accountability will span the full breadth of an SLA based Service Management including Contract, scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality and resources for projects; and will encompass the entire service lifecycle from proposal to run to deliver to completion.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role
- Run an SLA based multi-site Managed Test and Lab service in Mobile Networks industry from the Customer site.
- Run weekly and monthly Governance meetings.
- Manage and own the existing Service documents and processes.
- Create the new Service documents and processes.
- Manage the Facility team, PMO and large Engineering team.
- Be accountable for Service Delivery, Finance, People Management, Customer expectation management, Customer relationship. Managing Service escalations to satisfactory outcomes.
- Monitoring and challenging the engineering teams to ensure they are meeting budgetary and deadline goals, and steers the Team Managers to achieve those goals.
- Defining and managing project scope, including change control and configuration management.
- Conduct client negotiations to agree terms for changes, ensuring deliverability and commercial viability.
- Ensuring that the project budgets are defined and sustainable.
- Preparing and maintaining project plans and schedules.
- Forecasting the financial performance to maximize contribution margin across ENTS program.
- Actively manage client relationships and expectations.
- Managing subcontractors as needed.
- Traveling to other office-based UK locations as necessary

Your skills and experience
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills able to produce workable solutions to problems.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Ability to work independently and with own initiative on a Client site.
- Facility and Data Centre and H&S Management experience will have preference.
- Understanding and experience in mobile industry (Mobile Networks and IT Project Management).
- Advantageous to have former lab experience
- In-depth TMT industry experience
- Advanced interpersonal skills such as leadership, delegation, communication and conflict management. Extensive direct, cross-functional and cross-regional people management experience.
- In depth understanding of the project management principles and have knowledge of the Waterfall and ‘V’ models; experience of agile methods would also be preferable.
- Ability to demonstrate having delivered projects in complex commercial environments, such as Integrated Project Teams, consortia, or other integrated client/supplier collaborations, and will have an appreciation for the challenges and opportunities that these delivery structures bring.
- Understanding of the challenges of delivering multi-site and multi-national projects.
- Practiced in managing multiple projects simultaneously from bid/design stages to delivery.
- Knowledge of risk, opportunity and issue management.

Your security clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
